Federal government programs are for the people, and federal employees deserve to be treated better.
I made this illustration as a way to show my appreciation and support for all the federal government employees that were recently fired and the agencies whose funding is being axed. Though I am not a federal employee myself, I have worked closely with federal government agencies, creating illustrations to accompany their work, and the recent cuts not only make me fear for the future of this country, but also make me incandescent with rage. Sitting with rage day in and day out is not a healthy way to live, so I wanted to put it to good use. I'm not entirely sure what me, a scientific illustrator, can do when it feels as though the country I live in is collapsing before my very eyes, but my first instinct is to make art. So here I am, and here is the result.
Please feel free to use this illustration how you wish (print it, make stickers, whatever) just as long as you don't take credit for the illustration, and you don't sell it. Just as the federal government programs are for the people, so is this, and I want it to always be free to use.
